Happy Monday! I know it’s certainly far from most peoples’ favorite day of the week, but I hope everyone is ready to start fresh after a fabulous weekend. It feels like forever since the last time I blogged. After two months of extensive planning and work, I’ve finally remodeled Catoura. This blog is my internet baby, and for the longest time I’ve seemed to neglect it due to my hectic schedule. Never again! I’m not letting my schedule distract me from blogging anymore (crossing my fingers as I type this).
So, let’s start with a quick little update on my life. I finished spring semester strong with 4.0 GPA; I guess all of my hard work and the countless all-nighters paid off. As for my summer plans, I thought I would spend many lovely days poolside bound, tanning while reading the latest issues of Glamour mag, but that definitely has not been the case. Instead I’ve been working full-time, which I suppose I shouldn’t really complain about. I’ve always been the kind of girl to work a lot (some call me a workaholic), but I feel weird if I don’t keep myself busy. On the bright side, full-time work equals cash to continue building my wardrobe!
Now back to the blogging! I decided to start this new chapter of Catoura with the official print of the summer season, a floral pattern with a tropical flair: palm leaves. I have been obsessing over this print ever since I saw Shay Mitchell’s palm-themed room in one of her latest Youtube vids. For today’s outfit, I wore this adorable palm print skirt by INC from Macy’s; it was in the Impluse section, featuring styles dedicated to young professionals like myself. I really wanted the skirt to be the focal point of my OOTD, so I wore my favorite, yet simple, sleeveless white top from Target. As for my shoes, I recently purchased these beauties from Altar’d State (currently on sale hint, hint). To add just a dash of glam to my outfit, I wore my delightful new cuff bracelets from T.J.Maxx. As we all know, no outfit is complete without a handbag! I love, love, love wearing my champagne gold MK handbag with almost everything; this timeless beauty goes with so many outfits in my closet. Why? Because champagne is a neutral! If I had to describe this outfit in a phrase, I would call it tropical-simplicity. I’m loving this pattern so much that I might even incorporate it into my home decor (baby steps, of course, like a nice accent pillow or something).
In other blog news, I also added a new feature to my website for convenient shopping based on my outfit posts. So if you like my look, be sure to click the links or images to get all the nifty little details. I hope y’all enjoy this tropical look, and have a wonderful Monday!
